Description:  Cleaning Duties Include the following:

Bedroom and Common Areas

  • Dust and wipe door frames and doors.
  • Remove cobwebs. 
  • Dust and clean ceiling fans. 
  • Wipe and disinfect mirrors.
  • Vacuum stairs and carpet.
  • Dust and wipe built-in shelves and other wall fixtures.
  • Mop floors. 
  • Clean and dust baseboards. 

Bathrooms

  • Remove cobwebs. 
  • Dust and clean all surfaces. 
  • Clean and scrub grout and tiles. 
  • Wipe and disinfect mirrors.
  • Dust and clean vents. 
  • Vacuum and clean baseboards. 
  • Clean counters and sinks. 
  • Clean and disinfect toilets- inside the bowl, outside surfaces, and behind

Kitchens

  • Clean and wipe countertops, handles, and cabinetry.
  • Clean all appliances. 
  • Dust doors and door frames. 
  • Vacuum and mop floors. 
  • Clean window sills, frames, and tracks.
  • Remove cobwebs. 
  • Empty and clean garbage bins.
  • Clean windows and blinds

Deep cleaning:

  • Tiles and vent covers
  • Interior surfaces of appliances
  • Drain pipes
  • Defrosting and cleaning your fridge
  • Rangehood
  • Dishwasher

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:  Physical strength and ability to stand, walk, bend for long periods of time. No contagious diseases or illnesses. Knowledge of safety use and standard cleaning methods and procedures. Experience using cleaning agents and equipment. Ability to perform repetitive motion for long periods of time.

Floor Cleaning Technician

Floor Cleaning Technicians needed for a client on Ft. Benning is awarded a small contract. Responsible for the overall floor maintenance of hard surface and carpet stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing and bonneting of areas that include offices, corridors, lobbies, entrances, and stairwells. Strip and wax floors, mop and clean floors, understand chemicals usage, vacuum offices and common areas. The frequency of stripping and/or refinishing shall be such as to maintain the hard-surface floors in a clean state, free of buildup, dirt or black marking and with a gloss acceptable to the government. Other required duties may be assigned by the supervisor such as light maintenance and janitorial duties.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Pay-rate is: $12.00/hr and the hours are Monday – Friday: 5PM – 11:30PM. 
  • Must pass a background check and be able to gain temporary access to Fort Benning.
  • Must possess a vaccination card and signature of affidavit
  • Must have a valid email address to receive test information – COMPLETION BEFORE YOU START WORK

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Must have at least 4-6 months working experience as a Floor Technician. Must be able to work in a team environment and work independently. Must be committed to working the assigned days and hours.

FORKLIFT OPERATORS

Job Title: FORKLIFT OPERATORS

Pay Range – $14.00 and up

Hours, 1st, 2nd and 3rd Shifts

DESCRIPTION: Reads work order or follow oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved. Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand. Load materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit. Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area. Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet. Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers. Loads truck for Industrial Truck Operator. Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together. Places material in finished good in hold area.  Lifts heavy objects by hand or with power hoist, and cleans work area, machines, and equipment to assist machine operators. Operates industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products. Be able to complete a forklift checklist every morning and report all discrepancies to group lead or supervisor 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED required. Must have at least 6 months working in a production environment experience. Forklift Certification a PLUS!  Must be available for shift work and have physical dexterity. Must pass forklift driving test prior to employment!

DESCRIPTION:  Perform heavy manual labor and semi-skilled work in industrial maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities operated by Columbus, Ga Utility Company. Duties include carrying out maintenance on all sewage lift stations, water booster stations, water tanks, Water Plant, Waste Water Plant and CSO’s to include cleaning, repairing and maintenance. Assist Maintenance Technicians in performing preventive, predictive, regular and unscheduled maintenance and repair on all mechanical equipment at facilities. Also assist Technicians to assemble, install and maintain piping systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment; assists Technician to dismantle, clean, lubricate, repair / replaces shafts, bearing, gears, impellers, bar screens and other parts of pumps, motors, chemical feed systems and other equipment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED required. Must possess a valid driver’s license and good driving record. Knowledge of maintenance and manual labor required. Must frequently work outside in all weather conditions required. Must lift and move objects of 50 pounds required.

Clean inside cabinets, drawers, closets and etc. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Custodial and/or housekeeping experience is preferred. Ability to work with cleaning equipment and chemicals. Attention to detail.  Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and etc. for long periods of time.

Job Title: Production Worker

Responsible for meeting quality standards and deadlines for products. Assists in manufacturing process. The Production Worker will be responsible for keeping the production area clean and preparing machinery and equipment for use, working the production line as instructed, and strictly following health and safety guidelines to prevent accidents in environments where materials may be hazardous. Verifies for defects, assemble products, monitor manufacturing equipment. Will be working on a production line with consistent speed and accuracy.

May scan and document items that arrive at warehouse/work site.  Document shipment details of items leaving warehouse.  Ensure health and safety laws are followed.  

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: HS Diploma or GED required.  Prior supply technician experience or a similar role. Ability to lift and carry relatively heavy items.  Excellent written communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft office products and inventory logging software; or ability to quickly learn.

JOB DUTIES: 

Crew Leaders must manage landscape installation team and projects.

Use of hand tools such as shovels, rakes, saws, pruning saws, and hedge and brush trimmers and axes. May operate power equipment such as mowers, chainsaws, sod cutters, weed eaters, and blowers.

May operate vehicles and power equipment’s such as mowers, tractors, blowers, chain saws, and electric clipper. May repair irrigation lines, prune trees, till volleyball courts and pick up trash as needed.

May operate bobcat, stump grinder, and other heavy machinery associated with tree care and landscaping. Maintain property using lawn equipment – mowing, trimming, raking, fertilizing and watering grounds of property.

May operate skid steer, wheelbarrows, shovels, commercial hydro-seeder, cement mixer and various skid steer attachments.

Train, coach and monitor new employees on proper safety guidelines and practices as well as proper PPE use. Assure that all crew wear proper PPE for the task at hand, as well as assign safety equipment.

May operate drive mowers, lawn herbicide and pesticide, assist with irrigation, fertilizing, tree trimming, weed eating.

Perform minor repairs on equipment such as sharpening mower blades, greasing mowers, replacing belts, blades, tires.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Experience as a landscaping crew leader strongly preferred. High School Diploma/GED required. Strong leadership/supervisory skills. Ability to work outside in all weather conditions, pick up 50 lbs., stand/squat for long hours required.

Irrigation installation/maintenance and chemical treatment experience PREFERRED.

Clean windows, walls, mirrors, and/or partitions. Follow procedures for use of chemical cleaning agents and power machinery to prevent damage. May need to climb ladders and/or lift heavy objects.
